Where The Light Rests is an immersive sculptural installation tracing the transformation of energy: from the intangible to the physical, from frequency into form. Through light, sculpture and spatial sound, it opens a contemplative space where audiences are invited to slow down, reflect, and attune to the unseen forces shaping perception and connection.

This work offers sanctuary not as escape, but as a way to re-enter the world more quietly, more consciously, and with an awakened sense of what moves beneath the surface. A place for sensory rest and recharge, it stands as an antidote to the relentless stimulation and fatigue of contemporary life.

At its heart, Where The Light Rests is a meditation on three fundamental energies that all move through frequency: light waves, sound waves and brain waves. In their convergence, the work asks: how does the quality of our inner world shape the outer one?

Ken Meyer is a German/Japanese multi-disciplinary emerging artist based in Walyalup (Fremantle). He is currently working primarily through light and sound to create immersive, multi-sensory works that invite contemplation on perception, consciousness and the unseen forces that shape our human experience. He searches for phenomena in the external world that parallel the experiences of the inner world and questions this boundary that our minds have constructed. He combines his love for nature with the advances of technology to create experiences that shift audiences into new worlds.

He recently debuted Diffusion, a merging of experimental saxophone, improvisational electronica, dance, textural guitar and spatial sound into a unique performance that brought together artists from diverse backgrounds to take the audience on a multi sensory journey. He has collaborated in theatre, poetry and live music, and works on projects in composition, live performance and installations.
